Juan Carlos Alegre

Juan Carlos Alegre is an accomplished professional in monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) with extensive leadership experience in health and development sectors. Currently serving as the Director of MEL at Palladium, Juan Carlos oversees the generation of evidence to illustrate programmatic impact in health initiatives. As the founder and president of Alegre Associates, a minority-owned business, Juan Carlos offers cross-sector expertise in various fields including health, education, and nutrition. Previous roles include Sr. Director of Global Health Practice at IBTCI, Senior Director of Performance, Learning, and Impact at Management Sciences for Health, and Senior Director of Monitoring & Evaluation at Save the Children. Juan Carlos also contributed to academia as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine, where a course on Monitoring and Evaluation of Health Programs was designed and taught. Juan Carlos holds a Master’s degree in Operations Research from The George Washington University.
