Elena Herfi

Elena Herfi is an experienced Procurement and Logistics Specialist currently working with Abt Associates on the President’s Malaria Initiative since April 2022. With a strong background in supply chain and procurement, Elena has previously held roles at Chemonics International, where responsibilities included managing procurement and supply chain activities for Population and Reproductive Health as well as Maternal and Child Health programs. Earlier experience includes positions at the USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at American University. Elena holds a Master’s Degree in Public Anthropology from American University and two Bachelor’s Degrees in Comparative Cultures and Politics and Arabic from Michigan State University, complemented by various educational experiences in Arabic language and culture from recognized institutions.
