Giovanni Barbieri

Giovanni Barbieri, CFA, is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Head of Liquidity & Funding at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) since November 2016, overseeing liquidity management, cross-asset funding, and portfolio management. Prior to this role, Giovanni held positions as a Portfolio Manager for Liquidity and Money Markets at Morgan Stanley Investment Management and the Royal Bank of Scotland, where responsibilities included managing money market and short duration fixed income portfolios. Giovanni's career began at J.P. Morgan as an Associate and included a role as Quantitative Credit Risk Manager at Barclays Capital. Giovanni holds a Master's degree in Finance from Birkbeck, University of London, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, complemented by an Erasmus Exchange Programme at Liverpool John Moores University.
