Before that, they held the position of Senior Deputy Director in the Finance Division & Strategic Planning at Piraeus Bank from 2008 to 2016. Mohamed also served as the Deputy CFO and Head of Financial Planning & ALM at NSGB - Currently QNB Alahli from 2005 to 2008. Mohamed Shawky's career in banking began at MIBank - Currently QNB Alahli, where they held the position of Head of Financial Planning from 1997 to 2005.
Mohamed Shawky holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance & Investments from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, which they completed in 2006. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Accounting from Helwan University Cairo in 1997. Their primary, preparatory, and high school education was completed at Patriarchal College from 1981 to 1992. Additionally, they have obtained certifications such as Executive Certification from Harvard Business School in 2019, CMA (Certified Management Accountant) from IMA (Institute of Management Accountants) in 2014, and the Certified Banking Credit Analyst (CBCA) from the American University in Cairo in 2000.
