Elizabeth Gianino, PhD, currently serves as a Product Development Engineer and design team leader at Abyrx, Inc., where responsibilities include innovating and enhancing products such as bone putty and hemostatic bone putty for various medical applications. Prior experience includes a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at Clemson University, focusing on smart wound dressings for chronic wounds, along with positions as a Research and Development Intern at BD, assessing antimicrobial adhesives, and researcher roles at Wake Forest University and the University of Georgia, investigating biomaterials for blood coagulation and bone regeneration, respectively. Elizabeth Gianino holds a PhD in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Clemson University and a Bachelor of Science in Biophysics from Wake Forest University.
