Joy Aberg

Joy Aberg is a skilled process engineer specializing in product development, currently employed at BlueNalu since April 2024, focusing on optimizing production processes for cultivated tuna. Prior to this role, Joy served as a Senior Food Technologist at UPSIDE Foods from July 2021 to February 2024, where responsibilities included coordinating the commercialization and research & development of new process technologies for cultivated meat. Earlier experience includes formulating and commercializing plant-based shrimp as a Food Scientist at New Wave Foods, along with internships at Pepperidge Farm and Home Market Foods, as well as research roles at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Joy holds a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Technology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, earned in 2019.
