Sonny Andres

Sonny Andres has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Sonny is currently the Head of Thermal Plant Operations at AC Energy since July 2021. Prior to this, they worked at APR Energy from December 2014 to November 2020, where they served as the Operations Manager, Project Manager, and Project Assist for demobilization projects across multiple global locations. From 2011 to 2014, Sonny worked at PIC Group, Inc. as the Country Operations Manager and Plant Manager, overseeing the operations of power plants. In 2007, they were the O&M Manager at Wärtsilä, managing the operations and maintenance of diesel power plants. Sonny also has experience as a Shift Manager and Commissioning Engineer at PIC Group, Inc. in 2007. Sonny started their career at Alto Power Management Corp in 1998 as a Project Manager, Senior Maintenance Engineer, and Technical Adviser. Sonny's earlier roles include working as an Instrumentation and Control Specialist at Northern Mindanao Power Corporation from 1993 to 1998 and as a Senior Maintenance Engineer at Ionics Circuits, Inc. from 1990 to 1993.

Sonny Andres earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Electrical and Communication Engineering from Mapúa University in 1990. In 1995, they obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration from Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan. Sonny also has various certifications in fields such as turbocharging, training courses, and engineering seminars from institutions all over the world.
