Po-Yuan Lin

Sr. Material Scientis and Process Engineer at AC Propulsion, Inc.

Po-Yuan Lin's work experience begins in the year 2000 when they were a Co-op Student at Bright LED Electronics Corporation, translating technical documents and conducting research on materials and device structures of light emitting diodes. In 2001, they worked as a Co-op Student at V-Tech Engineering, Inc., where they researched, updated, and organized a material database and revised AutoCAD drawings. From 2003 to 2005, they served as a Research Assistant at National Nano Device Laboratories, focusing on the fabrication of a novel T-gate for MHEMT communication devices. In 2006, they worked as an Assistant Photographer at Ritz Wedding Photography, responsible for studio and outdoor lighting. From 2008 to 2014, they were a Researcher at Swagelok Center for Surface Analysis of Materials, specializing in surface characterization of bimetallic nanoparticles and PtRu in various carbon nanostructures. from 2010 to 2013, they served as a Research Assistant and from 2013 to 2014 as a Biomedical Engineer (Postdoctoral researcher) at Electronic Design Center, where they developed biosensors and researched future applications. Since 2014, Po-Yuan has been working at AC Propulsion, Inc. as a Senior Material Scientist and Process Engineer, focusing on the development of IGBT power module assembly and low-temperature soldering processes, as well as material characterization, testing, research, and selection. Finally, in 2018, they became an R&D Manager at Bright LED Electronics Corp., leading research and development efforts and overseeing the development of germicidal UVC LED packaging.

Po-Yuan Lin completed a Doctoral Degree in Materials Science and Engineering at Case Western Reserve University from 2007 to 2013. Before that, from 2003 to 2005, they obtained a Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from National Chiao Tung University. Prior to that, between 1998 and 2003, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Metals and Materials Engineering from The University of British Columbia. There is no information available about their education before attending The University of British Columbia.
