Shelley Oates-Wilding Oly

Shelley Oates-Wilding OLY is a highly experienced coach and educator with a passion for water sports and youth leadership. Currently serving as the USA Head Paracanoe Coach, USA National Head Kayak Coach, and Head Coach of the USA Sprint Kayak Team at the American Canoe Association, Shelley has dedicated over a decade to coaching and mentorship roles in various organizations. As the owner of Coach Shelley Oates LLC DBA Aspire Coaching, Shelley focuses on sharing ASPIRE coaching and leadership philosophies with the next generation. Additionally, Shelley has held coaching and program director positions at IKAIKA HAWAII and has extensive experience in motivational speaking, physical education, and curriculum development. Shelley holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Health and Physical Education/Fitness from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Education in Physical Education Teaching and Coaching from the University of Canberra.
