Bettina Rodriguez Schlegel

Bettina Rodriguez Schlegel currently serves as the Chief of Staff at Acacia Center for Justice since September 2023. Prior to this role, they held the position of Program Director at Vera Institute of Justice from March 2015 to July 2022, where they also worked as a Senior Program Associate. They also worked as a LIBRE Staff Attorney at The Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County from March 2012 to October 2014. Bettina holds a Doctor of Law (JD) in Immigrants Rights law from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sociology from Wesleyan University.
