David Carreon is a medical professional with extensive experience in psychiatry and healthcare management. As the CEO and Co-Founder of Acacia Mental Health since July 2018, Carreon leads efforts to provide innovative treatments for depression and anxiety. Prior roles include Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine, where evaluations of patients in psychiatric crisis were conducted. Additional experience includes serving as a Psychiatrist at Foothill Community Health and completing a Psychiatry Residency at Stanford Hospitals & Clinics. Carreon has also contributed to healthcare development in Kenya as a Healthcare Program Manager for Nuru International, and founded the Fellowship for International Service and Health. Carreon holds an MD from Stanford University School of Medicine and a degree from UCLA.
