John van Den Nieuwenhuizen

John Van Den Nieuwenhuizen is an experienced professional in product development and industrial design, currently serving as Chief Product Officer at Acacia and Acacia Co since May 2023, focusing on innovative outdoor adventure and entertainment solutions. Previously, John held significant roles such as Director of R+D, Industrial Design & US Head at Typhur, Managing Director at Hestan Smart Cooking Inc, and VP Hardware, Industrial Design + Product Marketing at Anova Culinary, where John was instrumental in developing connected kitchen products. As CEO and Co-Founder of HIDDEN Inc, John contributed to creating transformative consumer products. Early career experiences include design management at HP, and senior industrial design positions at Motorola, leading to successful mobile phone designs. John also has a background in education, serving as a tutor at UNSW, where John earned a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design.
