Maria Thompson

Maria Thompson is an accomplished academic leader with extensive experience in higher education. Currently serving as a Senior Consultant at Academic Search since July 2020, Maria previously held significant roles, including President and CEO at Coppin State University from July 2015 to June 2019, Provost and VP for Academic Affairs at SUNY Oneonta from July 2011 to June 2015, and VP for Research and Sponsored Programs at Tennessee State University from August 2009 to June 2011. Maria holds a PhD from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, a Master of Science from The Ohio State University, and a Bachelor of Science from Tennessee State University, along with additional master's studies at The Ohio State University.
