Shirrie Barany currently serves as the Assistant Director of Special Education at Academica, overseeing the implementation of IDEA for charter schools in Florida since July 2022. Prior to this role, Shirrie held various positions at Somerset Academy Charter Schools, including ESE Director from July 2018 to July 2022 and previous roles ranging from Administrative Assistant to Classroom Teacher. Other noteworthy positions include ESE Director at Jefferson County K12 and Administrator at Mater Academy, where Shirrie specialized in ESE programs.
