Tim Molderez has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Tim started their career as a PhD student at the University of Antwerp in 2009, where they conducted research on enabling modular reasoning and detecting undesired interactions within aspect-oriented languages. Tim completed their PhD in 2014.

Following that, Tim worked as a Postdoctoral researcher at Vrije Universiteit Brussel from 2014 to 2020. Tim was a member of the Software Languages Lab and contributed to the Cha-Q project, which aimed to improve quality assurance in software.

In 2018, Tim briefly worked as a Sole Proprietor at Code Craft before transitioning to their current position at AcademicLabs in 2019. At AcademicLabs, Tim initially worked as an R&D Engineer, contributing to the design and development of technical solutions and the maintenance of the platform's data infrastructure. Tim currently holds the position of Product Owner, contributing to the mission of accelerating the advancement of science and fostering collaborations between academia and industry.

Tim Molderez's education history begins in 1998 when they attended Sint-Jan Berchmanscollege. Tim studied Modern Languages and Science at this institution until 2004. From 2004 to 2007, Tim pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the University of Antwerp. Following this, they continued their studies at the same university from 2007 to 2009, earning a Master's degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Software Engineering. Tim's educational journey culminated in their pursuit of a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science at the University of Antwerp, which they completed between 2009 and 2014.
