Xiaochu Hu possesses extensive experience in health workforce studies, serving as Chair and Vice Chair of the Health Workforce Interest Group Advisory Committee at AcademyHealth from September 2021 to August 2023. Prior to this, Xiaochu held positions at the Association of American Medical Colleges as Manager and Lead Research Analyst for Workforce Studies Research from June 2018 to March 2022. Xiaochu's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Public Policy from George Mason University and an MA in Urban Planning and Economic Development from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Additional roles include Project Specialist for applied economic evaluation at the University of the District of Columbia, conducting a USDA-funded project on farmers markets' health impacts, and serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Center for Regional Analysis, where Xiaochu authored working papers on labor market issues. As a summer economics fellow at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas in 2013, Xiaochu further engaged in economic research initiatives.
