Chris Kartje is an experienced professional in the entertainment industry, currently serving as the Manager of Mid Career Talent Development Programs at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences since February 2018. In this role, Chris manages over 90 professional story analysts and oversees more than 15,000 screenplay reads annually while coordinating training workshops and various events for screenwriters. Previously, as the Director of Programs at the Writers Guild Foundation from June 2012 to February 2018, Chris co-created the WGFestival and executed strategic events, managing logistics for both small and large audiences. Early career roles include promotions and event management at Barnes & Noble, as well as various production assistant positions for television and film productions. Chris holds a Bachelor's Degree in Film Studies from the University of Michigan.
