Dilcia Barrera

Dilcia Barrera currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Member Relations, Global Outreach and Awards Administration at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences since April 2022. Previous experience includes extensive programming roles at the Sundance Institute from 2010 to April 2022, where responsibilities included programming feature films, short films, and various panels. Additional positions held include Director of Programming at the Latino Film Institute, Curator of Film Programs at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and Associate Programmer for The Los Angeles Film Festival. Barrera also has experience at esteemed organizations such as the American Film Institute and Film at Lincoln Center. Barrera holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Portuguese from UCLA, earned in 2007.
