Ricardo Gomez

Ricardo Gomez is a seasoned security professional with extensive experience in managing security operations across various prestigious organizations. Currently serving as the Senior Security Manager at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences since May 2019, Ricardo is tasked with building a new Security Department for the Academy Museum's grand opening. Previously, Ricardo held the position of Security Manager, Operations at The Huntington from 2001 to May 2019, overseeing all security-related functions, including the management of uniformed security personnel and compliance with fire and security systems. Earlier career roles include Security Manager at J. Paul Getty Trust and Assistant Security Manager at Los Angeles Times, where Ricardo began as a Security Supervisor. Ricardo holds a degree from California State University, Los Angeles, completed between 1995 and 1998.
