EVP, Marketing & Brand Strategy at Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences

Teni Melidonian has a strong work experience in the field of communications and marketing in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Teni started in 2005 as a Publicist and then progressed to the role of Communications Manager and Director of Communications. In 2017, they became the Managing Director of Marketing and Communications, where they led comprehensive communications and marketing strategies, served as the Chief Academy spokesperson, built relationships with media and industry partners, and oversaw global publicity and marketing campaigns for the Oscars. In 2020, they were promoted to Executive Vice President of Marketing and Brand Strategy and further elevated to EVP of Oscars Strategy in 2022. Their current role, starting in 2023, is Chief Oscars Officer, where they continue to lead and strategize for the Oscars.

Teni Melidonian attended Georgetown University from 1998 to 2000, but did not obtain a degree or pursue a specific field of study during that time. Following this, Teni attended California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, where they completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
