Andrea Alfaro

Andrea Alfaro has a diverse work experience ranging from marketing roles to event management and sustainability coordination. Andrea started their career as a Nanny while also working as a Marketing & Accounting Intern. Andrea then worked as a Sustainability Intern at Hardie's Fresh Foods and later became the Assistant Sustainability Coordinator for Texas Athletics at The University of Texas at Austin. Andrea also served as a Resource Recovery Intern and a Teaching Assistant for UTeach at the university. Andrea has experience in event management as an Event Director for Earth Day ATX. Andrea then transitioned into the marketing field, working as a Community Marketing Manager and later a Senior Marketing Manager at Acadeum. Their most recent role is the Associate Director of Marketing at Acadeum, where they facilitate academic partnerships between higher education institutions.

Andrea Alfaro attended The University of Texas at Austin from 2014 to 2017, where they pursued a degree in Geography with a focus on Sustainability Studies. In 2016, they also briefly studied at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Additionally, Andrea obtained a Zero Waste Professional certification from the City of Austin in July 2017. Andrea also completed the McCombs Business Foundations program at The University of Texas at Austin.
