Evelyn Dewaele has extensive work experience in the financial industry, with a focus on business development and product development. Most recently, they worked at Acadia, where they held roles in Business Development and Product Development from January 2019 to the present. Before that, Evelyn took a parental sabbatical from May 2007 to December 2018. Prior to the sabbatical, Evelyn held a key position as Vice President and Head of Algo Collateral at Algorithmics (formerly part of Fitch) from May 2003 to April 2007, where they were responsible for managing the Algo Collateral business line division, overseeing presales activities, product development, and overseeing a team of over 40 people. Before that, they worked as the Director of Professional Services for Algo Collateral at Algorithmics (Sentry Financial Systems) from May 2000 to May 2003, where they built and managed a European professional services unit. Evelyn started their career at ABN Amro as a Collateral Manager and Collateral Management Analyst from January 1998 to May 2000. Evelyn also gained experience in Collateral Management Support at Clearstream from 1996 to 1997.

Evelyn Dewaele began their education at St Bavo High School in 1984, where they studied Latin and Mathematics. Evelyn completed their high school education in 1990. Evelyn then went on to pursue their Masters in Applied Economics at KU Leuven from 1990 to 1994. Following that, Evelyn attended The University of Edinburgh from 1994 to 1995, where they studied Business Studies, although their field of study is not specified.
