Janel V.

Janel V. has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Janel worked as a Regulatory Affairs Manager at Acadia Pharmaceuticals Inc. starting in 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Mentor at The Pathfinder Mentorship of San Francisco, where they helped underserved students transition between educational levels using an online platform.

In 2022, Janel held two post-doctoral fellow positions. Janel worked at the University of Southern California as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Regulatory Affairs from July 2022 to June 2023. Simultaneously, they also worked at AbbVie as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Regulatory Affairs Strategy from July 2022 to March 2023.

Janel gained pharmacy experience through internships at Rose Pharmacy, KPC Health - Hemet & Menifee Global Medical Centers, and Beverly Community Hospital. Janel also served as a Pharmacy Intern at Family Health Matters Community Health Center, specializing in Ambulatory Care during their Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE). Additionally, they had a brief internship at RIS Rx.

In 2019, Janel worked as a Research Assistant/Collaborator at Marshall B. Ketchum University, where they contributed to a project involving the design and evaluation of a mock on-call infectious disease service in a didactic curriculum.

Janel V. began their education at the University of San Francisco in 2012 and completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry in 2016. Following this, they attended City College of San Francisco from 2015 to 2017, although no specific degree or field of study was mentioned during this time.

In 2018, Janel enrolled at Marshall B. Ketchum University, where they pursued a Doctor of Pharmacy - PharmD degree, specializing in Pharmacy. Janel is expected to complete this program in 2022.
