Sophin Liu has extensive work experience in various roles related to data analysis and business intelligence.
Starting in 2013, they worked as a Real Estate Analyst Intern at StorageMart, where they focused on financial analysis and modeling for real estate acquisitions.
In 2014, they joined Ford Motor Company as a Business Analyst, where they created KPI dashboards and conducted UX testing for the APAC Digital Innovation function.
In 2019, they worked as a Sales Operation Analyst Intern at Smartsheet, where they provided reporting, forecasting analysis, and built machine learning models to support sales productivity improvement.
In 2020, they joined Salal Credit Union as a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, where they led ad-hoc reporting for financial health and risk evaluation of pandemic relief programs.
In 2021, they joined Convoy Inc as a Senior Business Analyst, where they led weekly business reviews and provided actionable recommendations based on data insights.
In 2022, they joined The Pill Club as a Business Intelligence Manager, where they led weekly reporting across customer lifecycle and automated data visualization to optimize marketing and operational efficiency.
In the same year, they also became an Adjunct Lecturer of Data Science at the University of Washington Information School, teaching courses on data science theoretical foundations.
Finally, in 2023, they joined Acadia Pharmaceuticals Inc as a Commercial Analytics Manager.
Sophin Liu holds a Master of Information Management degree in Business Intelligence and Data Science from the University of Washington. Sophin also has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Marketing from the University of Missouri-Columbia. For their undergraduate studies, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Huazhong Agricultural University. Additionally, they have acquired several certifications including "Human Subjects Research - Social-Behavioral-Educational Basic" from the CITI Program, a division of BRANY, obtained in April 2019. Sophin also obtained certifications in "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" from Coursera Course Certificates in December 2018, "Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python)" from the University of Michigan in 2018, and "Using Python to Access Web Data" from the University of Michigan in 2018.
