Abelyn Acosta

Abelyn Acosta has a diverse work experience, starting in 2014 as an Assistant of the Disability Department at ASA College. In 2016, they joined John Jay College as a Front Desk Assistant, where they assisted with various programming and outreach activities. In the same year, Acosta also began working at City University of New York as a Program Specialist. Abelyn then worked as a Junior Advisor at The National Society of Leadership and Success from 2017 to 2019, providing administrative and logistics support, guidance to the executive board, and support to members. Since 2019, Acosta has been working as a Care Manager at Advance Care Alliance.

Abelyn Acosta pursued their education in the field of criminal justice. Abelyn obtained an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice from ASA College, attending from 2012 to 2014. Following that, they enrolled at the City University of New York-John Jay College of Criminal Justice from 2015 to 2017, studying Law and Society and earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. In addition to their formal education, Abelyn Acosta also earned certifications in the CITI Program from CITI Program, A Division of BRANY, in May 2017, and Workplace Violence Prevention from John Jay College (CUNY) in April 2017.
