Maxx Miller

Care Manager at Advance Care Alliance of New York

Maxx Miller has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. They began their career in 2013 as an intern at the Jewish Community Relations Council, where they posted Jewish events and instructed leaders of Jewish organizations on event posting. In 2014, they interned at the Office of the Public Advocate for the City of New York, followed by an internship at the Office of New York City Council Member Ben Kallos, where they managed a caseload of mostly elderly clients and assisted them with housing issues. In 2016, Maxx worked as an Outpatient Case Manager at Arms Acres, facilitating addiction support groups, conducting assessments, documenting patient progress, and providing individual counseling. They then joined Fedcap as a Social Worker, providing counseling to young adults, psychiatric referrals, housing assistance referrals, and conducting assessments. From 2018 to 2019, Maxx worked as a Social Worker at the Central Park Dialysis Center, where they developed social work treatment plans, collected patient information, and had knowledge of relevant insurance policies. They later joined ResCare Workforce Services as a Qualified Health Professional from 2019 to 2020. Most recently, Maxx worked as a Social Worker at the Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation in 2020 and currently serves as a Care Manager at the Advance Care Alliance of New York since 2021.

Maxx Miller obtained a Master's degree in Social Work from the Wurzweiler Graduate School of Social Work from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2009, Maxx earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from SUNY Brockport. In November 2016, Maxx obtained a certification as a Licensed Master Social Worker from The University of the State of New York Education Department.
