Alistair Paton is a seasoned professional in the field of industrial and employee relations with extensive experience across major organizations. Currently serving as Senior Director of Labour Relations & Change at Asda since April 2020, Alistair manages trade union relationships and oversees change initiatives. In addition, Alistair acts as an Employer Representative for the UK Central Arbitration Committee, adjudicating on industrial relations matters. Prior to these roles, Alistair was Head of Industrial Relations at the Royal Bank of Scotland, providing strategic guidance on global industrial relations and leading negotiations with trade unions. Alistair also held positions including Head of Employee Relations for EMEA and various HR roles within the Royal Bank of Scotland Group and Royal Mail. Alistair holds a BA Honours in Industrial Relations from the University of Strathclyde.
