Lanfranco Senn is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in regional and urban economics, holding the position of Professore Emerito and Ordinario at Università Bocconi since 1986. Senn founded and directed the Master in Economia dei trasporti, delle infrastrutture e della logistica (MEMIT) and has taught various economics courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. As the founder of Studies in Regional Economics, Senn focuses on critical research and reflections on regional, territorial, and urban economics. Additional roles include serving as a board member for Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera and Fondazione per la Sussidiarietà, with past leadership positions in various institutions and companies, including GRUPPO CLAS S.P.A. and MM Spa, as well as expertise as a government consultant. Senn earned a Master of Science in Regional Science from the University of Pennsylvania and holds a Laurea in Economia e Commercio from Università Bocconi.
