Matthew Vatter has a diverse work experience starting from 1995 to the present. Matthew worked as a Training Manager and New Store Opener for Play It Again Sports where they developed a video-based sales and operations training program. Matthew also served as a Commander in the Minnesota Army National Guard, overseeing administrative, logistical, and operational tasks for over 700 soldiers. Matthew attended the US Army War College as a student and was a J5 Director of Strategic Plans and Policy and Chief of Army Personnel in the Minnesota National Guard. In 2018, they became the Chief Operating Officer of Protocol 46, a veteran-owned cybersecurity company. From 2019 to 2023, they worked as the Assistant Commissioner for Enforcement for the Minnesota Department of Commerce. Currently, they hold the role of Operations Executive at Accelerate2Compliance.

Matthew Vatter, MSS, MSST has a comprehensive education history that includes multiple degrees and certifications. Matthew earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Secondary Education with a specialization in Earth Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they studied from 1984 to 1988. Later, from 2012 to 2014, Matthew pursued their Master's degree in Military Strategic Studies, General at USAWC. Moreover, they attended the Technological Leadership Institute at the University of Minnesota, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Security Technology from 2016 to 2017.

In addition to their degrees, Matthew Vatter has gained various certifications.
