Jacques Steinberg

Jacques Steinberg is the Founder and Principal of Gatekeepers Initiatives, LLC, established in January 2013, where strategic communications and higher education partnerships are the focus, serving nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and companies. From February 2013 to July 2020, Steinberg was the Senior Vice President for Higher Education and Communications at Say Yes to Education, overseeing the expansion of a consortium from 25 to 120 private colleges and universities that provided scholarships to public school graduates. Prior to this role, Steinberg held various editorial positions at The New York Times from 1988 to January 2013, including Senior Editor for Education Initiatives and National Education Correspondent, where nearly 2,000 articles were authored on critical education issues. Jacques Steinberg earned a Bachelor’s degree in History from Dartmouth College between 1984 and 1988.
