Anne Bovaird Nevins is an accomplished leader in economic and community development, currently serving as the Chief of Economic and Community Impact at Accelerator for America since January 2023. In this role, Anne focuses on fostering equitable communities by enhancing housing affordability, supporting small businesses, and expanding career pathways. Prior to this, Anne held the position of President at PIDC for 15 years, where efforts centered on driving economic growth throughout Philadelphia. Anne's extensive experience includes roles such as Director of Economic Development, Senior Advisor at Econsult Solutions, and Adjunct Faculty at Thomas Jefferson University, along with various positions in fundraising and development across prominent organizations including the Kimmel Center and the White House. Anne holds an M.B.A. in Real Estate from The Wharton School and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.

Accelerator for America finds and develops local solutions to economic insecurity and shares them with cities across the country. We support initiatives that connect people with existing jobs, create new opportunities and foster infrastructure development. We are led by an Advisory Council consisting of mayors and leaders from the labor, business and non-profit sectors. Currently, our work is conducted in two specific verticals: Transit & Infrastructure and Economic Development.
