Peter Horgan

Peter Horgan is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in advocacy and management within the environmental and outdoor sectors. Currently serving as the GIS Advocacy Manager at Outdoor Alliance since September 2023, Peter also hosts the "Climbing Advocate Podcast" for Access Fund, where important topics regarding climbing area stewardship are discussed. Previous roles include Vice President & Co-Chair at GIS Colorado, where Peter planned organizational meetings and training, and Executive Director of Gunnison Valley Climbers, focusing on protecting climbing resources in Colorado. Additional experience encompasses stewardship management at Crested Butte Land Trust and involvement in various projects during academic tenure, notably securing funding for the Center for Public Lands. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Environmental Management and a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Science and Cartography.
