Job description

Primary Duties:

  • Work closely with the rest of the finance team on the month-end closing process and financial reporting to parent company according to strict deadlines.

  • Process and maintain biweekly payroll by collating, calculating, and entering payroll data. Prepare journal entries for payroll and payroll related accruals.

  • Work with CPA firm on annual audit and tax returns.

  • Work closely with CFO, Accounting Manager, and Accounting Clerk to set accounting policy that meets the needs of the entire organization.

  • Reconciliations – bank and other balance sheet accounts as part of the month-end closing process.

  • Monitor cash flow and credit card transactions and maintain proper limit on credit card.

  • Initiate and approve ACH and wire transactions.

  • Provide reporting to CFO and CEO regarding financial performance of Chinese subsidiaries.

  • Troubleshoot complex accounting transactions.

  • Provide support for the budgeting process by calculating payroll expenses based on staffing plan.

  • Provide support to CFO for quarterly self-audit.

Standard Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business/accounting, or equivalent education and experience.

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.

  • Familiarity with GAAP reporting requirements.

  • Strong Excel skills – pivot tables, v-lookups, etc. Ability to create reports and forms from scratch and from exported data.

  • ERP experience required.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience in international companies
  • Experience in public accounting
  • Python programming experience for data mining
