Marty Clark

After spending more than thirty years as a special education teacher in Central New York, Martin is acutely aware of the great amount of progress that has been made towards community inclusion for people with disabilities. In his words, “I remember the times when folks with developmental disabilities were totally isolated from society at large. There were no inclusive classes in schools; group homes for adults did not exist.”

It is this memory that spurred Martin to get involved with Spaulding Support Services and serve on their board. Thankfully, he also decided to join the AccessCNY Board of Directors post-merger and has been a great proponent of AccessCNY. In his words: “I admire AccessCNY as an agency that plays a major role in improving the quality of life for all people with disabilities.”
