Honorable David Allen is a Judge in the 3rd Circuit Court of Wayne County, Mich., where he has served in the felony criminal division, civil division and business court. He has served on the bench since his appointment in 2003 and has successfully been reelected by the citizens of Wayne County 4 times, all unopposed. Judge Allen graduated first in his class from the Detroit College of Law in 1993, and earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Michigan.
Judge Allen has been an adjunct professor of law at both the Thomas M. Cooley and University of Detroit Mercy law schools. He is a member of the board of directors for several organizations including the Metropolitan Detroit YMCA where he currently serves as Vice chair of the Board. He is married to Colleen and is the proud father of three sons. He has been a lifelong resident of the City of Detroit.

ACCESS (Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services) has been serving the community for more than 47 years. Founded by a group of dedicated volunteers in 1971 out of a storefront in Dearborn’s impoverished south end, ACCESS was created to assist the Arab immigrant population adapt to life in the United States. Today, ACCESS is the largest Arab American community nonprofit in the United States. With 11 locations and more than 120 programs serving metro Detroit, ACCESS offers a wide range of social, economic, health and educational services to a diverse population.
