Jordan Rydell

Head of Digital ASIC and Low-level SW at Acconeer

Jordan Rydell has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Jordan started their career as a Thesis worker at Ericsson Enterprise in 2005. From 2006 to 2008, they worked as an ASIC Designer at Ericsson Mobile Platforms, focusing on digital ASIC hardware design. At ST-Ericsson from 2009 to 2012, they served as a Senior/Lead Engineer, responsible for front-end design and methodology development.

In 2012, they joined Oticon A/S as a Firmware Developer and Scrum Master, where they led methodologies for functional verification and provided support to IC development teams. Jordan also worked as a Digital IC and tool flow Designer, responsible for delivering methods and tools for low-power digital and analog IC development for hearing aids.

Later, they joined Arm in 2017, initially as a Staff Engineer in HW verification. In 2019, they became a Staff Software Engineer and Team Lead, managing a team and contributing to software engineering. Jordan'smost recent role at Arm was as Head of Digital ASIC and Low-level SW at Acconeer AB, starting in 2023. In this role, they are responsible for leading the development of cutting-edge ASIC and software solutions.

Jordan Rydell obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú between 1998 and 2002. During this program, they studied a range of subjects including electronics, physics, computer sciences, and mechanics. Later, in 2004 and 2005, Jordan pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. This program allowed him to focus on areas such as ASIC design, VLSI, Radioelectronics, EDA CAD tools design, System Modeling, and Embedded Systems.
