Accountability Counsel
Megan Pearson is a dedicated policy associate at Accountability Counsel since September 2021, previously serving as a post-graduate policy fellow. Prior experience includes a research internship at the European Court of Human Rights and a legal internship at the Institute for Justice & Democracy in Haiti. Additional roles encompass positions as a communications associate at HaitiHub, LLC, a tutor/academic mentor at Genuine Counseling Services, and a publicist at Gaston School of the Arts. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Law (JD) from Yale Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in English, French, and African American Studies from Duke University.

Accountability Counsel amplifies the voices of communities around the world to protect their human rights and environment. As advocates for people harmed by internationally financed projects, we employ community-driven and policy level strategies to access justice. We assist communities to effectively use accountability offices to remedy and prevent harm caused by global projects. We advocate for accountability offices that are accessible, independent, transparent, fair, and effective tools for justice. We provide trainings and tools, conduct research, and track trends within the accountability field to foster the global movement.
