Russ Horn

Russ Horn has had a long and varied career in the IT and security industries. From 1996 to 1999, they worked in admissions at Lubbock Christian University and as a Systems Analyst at United Supermarkets. From 1999 to 2002, they worked as an IT Consultant in the healthcare industry and a Technical Analyst at United Supermarkets. In 2001, they began working as a public speaker, delivering educational conference sessions and keynote addresses. From 2005 to 2007, they worked at CoNetrix as President, COO, and Security and Compliance Consultant. In 2007, they became President of Tandem, LLC, a business-to-business software as a service (SaaS) company. In 2011, they became President of AccountingWare, a CoNetrix company. In 2020, they were awarded a Silver award by Cybersecurity Excellence Awards for Cybersecurity Educator of the Year in North American, and in 2018, they were named a Top-Rated Speaker by ISACA for being evaluated by attendees in the top 5% at the North America CACS 2018 Conference.

Russ Horn has a Master's Degree in Management Information Systems from Texas Tech University, obtained between 1998 and 2000. Russ also has a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Lubbock Christian University, obtained between 1992 and 1996. Additionally, they have obtained three certifications: Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) from ISACA in 2011, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA in 2006, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in 2006.
