Poppy Attwell

Poppy Attwell has a diverse work experience in the field of DevOps engineering. Poppy started their career as a Waitress at By Word of Mouth UK from September 2015 to June 2017. Poppy then joined Accenture as an Industrial Placement Student - DevOps Engineer from July 2017 to July 2018. During their time at Accenture, they contributed to several projects by creating infrastructure automation and continuous delivery pipelines using tools such as Docker, Jenkins, and AWS.

Following their stint at Accenture, Poppy joined KPMG UK as a DevOps Engineer in September 2019. Poppy later transitioned to the role of Senior DevOps Engineer in October 2020. At KPMG, they worked on approximately 15-20 projects in Azure and AWS, acting as the primary Cloud/DevOps resource and point of contact for the development team, business owners, and clients. Poppy demonstrated a balance between planning, prioritization, delegation, and hands-on work by implementing new infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and ad-hoc automation improvements.

Recently, Poppy joined Accredible in November 2021 as a DevOps Engineer and was soon promoted to the position of Senior DevOps Engineer in November 2022. In their current role, they are responsible for building the DevOps and Automation landscape from scratch, introducing best practices, overhauling environments, and managing deployments. Poppy is also looking to establish and lead a DevOps/Cloud team.

Poppy Attwell attended Newcastle University from 2015 to 2019, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science. In April 2020, they obtained certification as an Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
