Ghassan Darwiche has a diverse and extensive work experience in the medical field. Ghassan started their career as a Specialist at Skånes universitetssjukhus (Skåne University Hospital) in 2005. Ghassan then served as a Senior Consultant & Director of Studies at Region Skåne in 2006, followed by the role of Senior Consultant & Head of Section at Skånes universitetssjukhus from 2007 to 2010.

Afterwards, Darwiche worked as the Chief Medical Officer & Consultant Internist and Diabetologist at Rashid Centre for Diabetes and Research from 2010 to 2011. Ghassan then returned to Skånes universitetssjukhus as a Senior Consultant from 2012 to 2015. During this time, they also took on the role of Dep Chief Medical Officer and Consultant Internist and Diabetologist, Head of Diabetes Clinic at Rashid Centre for Diabetes and Research from 2015 to 2018.

In 2016, Darwiche became an Associate Professor of Medicine at Lunds universitet and also served as a Consultant Endocrinology License at the Ministry of Health and Prevention - UAE from 2016 to 2018. In 2018, they joined Accumbo as the Chief Medical Officer & Consultant. Additionally, they had a short-term role as a Senior Medical Advisor at Brighter AB (publ) in 2018.

Throughout their career, Darwiche has demonstrated expertise in various medical positions and has made significant contributions in academic, clinical, and leadership roles.

Ghassan Darwiche has a strong educational background in the field of medicine. Ghassan completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Medicine at Lund University, with a focus on "Medicin." This degree was earned between an unknown start year and 2003. Prior to obtaining their PhD, Ghassan Darwiche also obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Lund University, specializing in "Medicin." This degree was achieved from 1988 to 1994.

In addition to their formal education, Ghassan Darwiche has obtained various certifications to enhance their medical expertise. Ghassan became a Head Instructor for Advanced Cardiac Life Support from The Swedish Resuscitation Council in March 2007. Ghassan also became a Head Instructor for ALERT (Acute Life-threatening Events Recognition and Treatment) at Lunds universitet in 2007. Furthermore, they acquired certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support from the Swedish Surgical Society in association with the Swedish Society of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care and the Swedish Orthopedic Association in September 2005.
