Yahya Saleem

Yahya Saleem has a diverse range of work experience. Yahya began their career as a Teachers Aide at the Muslim Center of New York in 2011, where they assisted young students in performing religious prayers, chaperoned on school trips, and helped teachers with lesson plans. In 2016, they worked as a Student Mentor at We Connect The Dots, Inc, programming robots, creating a mobile robotic arm, and presenting on how technology disrupted the education industry. Yahya also mentored teams in developing business websites to address global issues.

In 2018, Yahya joined Curewell Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician, where they mastered the BESTRx computer system, handled phone calls to doctors and insurance companies, and operated the register. In 2021, they trained as a Java QA Automation Engineer at Solvd, Inc., coding web automation testing projects using Java and learning mobile automation testing.

Yahya then became a Cyber Security Fellow at CodePath, where they learned about hacker exploits and implemented techniques like URL manipulation and SQL injection. Most recently, in 2022, they gained experience as a Summer Intern at Accenture. Starting in 2023, Yahya will work as an Information Technology Specialist at Accumedic Computer Systems, Inc.
