Medical Physics Support Specialist at Accuray

Jennifer Rassuchine has a diverse work experience that spans over multiple fields. Jennifer currently works at Accuray as a Medical Physics Support Specialist. Prior to this role, they worked at Sugar Bowl Academy as a Math and Science Educator, where they taught various subjects including AP Calculus and Physical Science. Jennifer was successful in promoting and supporting Advanced Placement education and achieved a 70% improvement in student performance for the AP Calculus exams.

Jennifer also worked at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) as a Researcher in Radiation Plasma Physics, conducting experimental research in high-intensity, fast-pulse laser acceleration of x-rays and protons. Jennifer collaborated with international laboratories and a nanofabrication group during their time at HZDR.

In addition, Jennifer has experience as a Medical Physicist at Renown Health, where they performed quality assurance for radiotherapy accelerators and implemented specialized treatment procedures such as IMRT and SRS. Jennifer started their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Nevada, Reno, where they investigated extrasolar planets and worked on solutions of the equations of motion with relativistic corrections. Jennifer also briefly worked as a Teaching Assistant during their time at the university.

Jennifer's work experience also includes coaching as a Cross Country Ski Coach at Far West Nordic Ski Education Association.

From 1998 to 2002, they earned a Bachelor of Science - BS with a major in Theoretical Mathematics and a minor in Physics from the University of Nevada, Reno.

In 1998, they graduated as Salutatorian with a High School Diploma from Tahoe Truckee High School.
