Scott'sresponsibilities included managing manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, project management, HR, finance, contract manufacturing, sourcing, and environmental/health/safety. Pleau also served as the Vice President of Global Operations for the Medical Devices division, leading operations representing over 4 billion dollars in revenue with manufacturing sites in six countries. Scott focused on electrical mechanical devices, energy-based devices, and soft tissue implantable devices.

Prior to Covidien, Pleau held leadership roles at CR Bard, Davol, and Davis and Geck, where they gained valuable experience in packaging engineering and operational quality. Overall, Pleau has demonstrated expertise in global operations, improving financial performance, driving safety initiatives, and optimizing value through strategic management.

Scott Pleau attended Mount Saint Charles Academy from 1978 to 1983, where they completed their high school education. Following this, they pursued a bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering from Michigan State University from 1983 to 1988.
