Jennifer Gibson has a strong background in regulatory affairs and federal affairs. Jennifer started their career in 1989 as a Scheduler/Receptionist for The Honorable Fred Grandy in the U.S. House of Representatives. From there, they became a Legislative Assistant for The Honorable Lamar Smith, serving from 1990 to 1993. In 1994, they joined the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies as a Federal Affairs Representative/Press Assistant, and later became the Director of Federal Affairs from 1996 to 2003. Finally, they joined the National Association of Chemical Distributors in 2003 as the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, overseeing all regulatory activities and strategies for the association.
Jennifer Gibson obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Government and Communications from the University of Virginia, where they studied from 1985 to 1989. In addition to their undergraduate education, they have obtained several certifications, including the Duke Leadership Program from the Fuqua School of Business in February 2015, and The Leadership Experience from the Disney Institute in February 2015. Jennifer also holds an Advanced Certificate from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET), an Intermediate Certificate from WSET, and a Certificate in Organization Management from the Institute for Organization Management, U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
