Anna Shults

Anna Shults currently serves as the Chief Academic Officer at the Indiana Department of Education, a position held since March 2025. As an education consultant and coach since June 2022, Anna Shults also held the role of Vice President of Managed Schools at Stride, Inc. from March 2023 to March 2025. Anna Shults founded ACE Prep Charter School in May 2015, leading it until June 2022, focusing on rigorous academics and character development for young learners. Anna Shults began a career in education as an elementary teacher at Hamilton Southeastern Schools from 1998 to 2009. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Anderson University and a Master of Curriculum and Instruction from Indiana Wesleyan University.
