Renato Giacon

Renato Giacon serves as the Director of Public Finance and EU Funding Programmes at ACEA since October 2025. Prior to this, Renato was the Associate Director and Head of Funding & Partnerships at Rud Pedersen Public Affairs, focusing on EU funding, the European Green Deal, and strategic autonomy. Renato's extensive experience includes roles at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), where a significant contribution was made to secure funding under the EU's InvestEU and Recovery & Resilience Facility programmes. Renato's earlier positions include Senior Advisor at PwC Luxembourg, Senior Account Executive at Fleishman-Hillard, Analyst at Oxford Analytica, and research roles at the United Nations and its University. Renato holds multiple advanced degrees and certifications, including a Master's in International Economics from Sciences Po and an Economic Development Certificate from Harvard Kennedy School.
