Sarah Barton

VP of Early Head Start at Acelero Learning

Sarah is responsible for leading the innovative design process and ensuring high impact execution of the Acelero Learning Early Head Start (birth-3 years) education model for both the Acelero Network and Shine Early Learning's network of partners. Prior to this role, Sarah served as the Executive Director of their Wisconsin delegate, where she grew the program from just Milwaukee to both Milwaukee and Racine and from Head Start only to a comprehensive zero to five program including Early Head Start. Under her leadership, the delegate earned expansion or enhancement funding three times, not to mention garnering all clean federal reviews, top 10% scores in instructional support, and consistent plaudits from the Regional Office. Prior to her tenure in Wisconsin, she has served in a number of education leadership roles at Acelero, including Director of Education and Disabilities, Education Coordinator, and Center Director. Sarah got her start in early childhood education as a preschool teacher in Camden, NJ through Teach For America. She holds a bachelor's degree at Michigan State University a master's degree from Temple University in urban school leadership with a specialization in early childhood education.
