Alberto Ruiz has a diverse work experience in the field of information security. Alberto is currently serving as the Group CISO and Chief Information Security Officer at ACERINOX, S.A. Prior to this role, they were the Corporate Cybersecurity Director and CISO at ACCIONA. Alberto has also worked as the Chief Information Security Officer at Grupo MásMóvil and Yoigo, and as the Information Security Director at Sanitas. Earlier in their career, they held roles such as Regional Security Director at Ericsson, IT Security Manager at Grupo CESCE Servicios Tecnológicos, Manager at Arthur Andersen, and IT Consultant at Ernst & Young. Alberto has gained expertise in implementing security directives, managing security organizations, conducting incident management and investigations, ensuring regulatory compliance, performing risk assessments, and driving security awareness activities.

Alberto Ruiz obtained their degree in Ingeniero de Minas from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. In 2010, they attended the SANS Institute for a course in Computer Forensics, Investigations and Response. In 2011, they pursued a program in ISO 20000 Implementation from BSI and also completed the ITIL Foundation V3 certification from Exin. Alberto also holds a certification in CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) from the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium, Inc., (ISC)². Additionally, they have expertise in Hacking Tools and Techniques and Penetration Testing Process from Offensive Security. Alberto further gained knowledge in Information Security Management Systems by obtaining the ISO 27001 Lead Auditor certification from APPLUS.
