Bart Praats

Bart Praats is an accomplished software engineer with extensive experience in Java development and leadership roles. Currently serving as Lead Java Developer at Acerta since July 2021, Bart leads the Community of Practice for Java, evaluates new technologies, and guides implementation across the organization. Co-owning byteworx since May 2023, Bart also works as a Freelance Software Engineer with UnIT Consulting. Previous roles include Senior Java Software Engineer at Argenta, Lead Developer at KPN IoT on the KPNThings IoT project, and Integration Consultant at Realdolmen. Bart's educational background includes a Master of Engineering in Electronics and ICT from the University of Antwerp and a Bachelor of Applied Informatics in Computer Programming from Karel de Grote-Hogeschool.
