Michiel Smekens possesses extensive experience in human resources and team leadership roles, currently serving as Teamleader MPS and Service Coach at Acerta since September 2022. Prior to this, Michiel held the position of HR Business Partner at Groep Vanhout from March 2022 to September 2022. Michiel's professional journey includes significant tenure at the Departement Mobiliteit en Openbare Werken - Vlaamse overheid, where responsibilities included cluster coordination of HR services and recruitment. Michiel began the career as an HR consultant intern at Ascento in 2010. Educationally, Michiel earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work with a focus on Personnel Work from UC Leuven-Limburg between 2008 and 2011.
